Day Two
Stayed the night in the interesting town of Mexican Hat, Utah. Turns out this is a big put-in and take-out location for float trips doing the San Juan River. We stayed in a nice motel (San Juan Trading Post). Seems like the entire town is Native American. Nice to see some natives benefitting from tourism. Our goals for the day were to see Monument Valley and Canyon de Chelly National Monument further south near the town of Chinle, Arizona.
