Trip to Williams Peak Yurt, Sawtooth Mountains, Idaho, April 2000
Skied in Saturday morning. After finally finding the right trail we were headed in the right direction by the crack of noon. Took about 5 hours to get in; vertical rise of about 1700'.
Gregg Lewis organized the trip. Other participants: Adrian Pfisterer, Curt Franzen and his wife Gwen, Amy and Dan Wasteckel, Bob and Laura O'Melia, Glenn Oakley, Katherine Jones.
Skinned up to Skier's Point twice on Sunday, a climb of about 1600'. Great skiing. Nice open, slightly gladed slope. Consistent pitch.
Skied out Monday. Interesting ski out. Lots of dirt on the lower parts.
